Lifting Our Hearts to God...Extending Our Hands to Others

Looking for Meaning & Purpose in Life?

Are you looking for a sense of meaning and purpose for your life?

Consider what the Bible says:

God created you with a special purpose.  You were created by Him and for Him.  God loves you and desires to have a relationship with you.  The Bible says, "Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us."

Despite God's love for us and his desire to have a relationship with us, we choose to disobey his desire for our lives.  The Bible calls this choice sin.  Everyone sins when we choose our way of living life over God's way.  The Bible says, "All have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard."

Our sin separates us from God and prevents us from enjoying the life he has promised.  Before we can have a relationship with God, our sin must be dealt with.  Just as a fine must be paid for an offense against the law, a price must be paid for our sin.  The Bible says, "The wages of sin is death."

Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for our sins. The Bible says, "God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so we could be made right with God through Christ."  He rose from the dead to give us victory over death forever. Again the Bible says, "[Jesus] was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised from the dead to make us right with God."

We can experience God's forgiveness as his free gift to us.  We can't earn God's forgiveness, we just have to ask.  The Bible says, "God saved you by his special favor when you believed.  And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God.  Salvation is not a reward for the good things  we have done, so none of us can boast about it."

Would you like to receive God's free gift?  The Bible says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."  God's gift of life can be yours, just say a prayer like this, "Dear Jesus, I am a sinner and I need  Savior.  Please forgive me of my sins and come into my life and take control.  Thank you, Jesus, for your forgiveness.  Amen."

If you prayed that prayer, or something similar, we would like to hear from you.  Call us at 409.883.3974.  We would like to pray with you and provide you with some materials to help you grow and mature in the Christian faith.  God bless you on your joyous new journey!
